I hope you and your loved ones are well as we continue to shelter in place. Are you doing anything you wouldn’t normally have time for? I’d love to hear what you’ve been up to.
No matter what your challenges, I hope you are able to keep a positive mindset - focusing on those things you are grateful for. It’s been a bit of a challenge to get fresh food, so when we have fresh produce in the house, I feel so abundant! I am particularly grateful for the people working in the food stores and people who are shopping and delivering food. They truly are soldiers. More than ever, I am grateful for my home. If I have to stay in, it’s a nice place to hang out.
It will still be several weeks before we are showing homes in person. I believe if we are disciplined now, we will get past this sooner. The analysts say we will have our spring market in the second half of the year. Every indication is that we will bounce back. Our market was strong before the crisis. Compared to the recession in 2008, people have healthy equity in their homes, inventory is low, interest rates are low, and there is pent-up demand.
Until we get back to normal, I hope you are comfortable, safe, and healthy.
