One of the things I love most about living in New Jersey is Fall!
The farms are just bursting with people for apple and pumpkin picking. Wightman Farms outside Morristown has food stands, games, hay rides and delicious baked goods. Either go early or be prepared for traffic and limited parking.
The other annual favorite thing my family likes to do this time of year is visit Beneduce Vineyards in Pittstown, NJ. We bring our own food and take in the view of fall foliage. It’s glorious to be outside in the warm sun and/or under the stars listening to the live music. Oh and the wine is sensational. We never leave without a case. In the past the chardonay was my favorite, but this year I bought several of their reds.
I love to cook year round – even grill year round, but now is when I use my oven for roasts and baking. Today I made healthy pumpkin muffins with almond flour and a drop of maple syrup. I just love that smell of something in the oven, while snuggling up with a book. Most Sundays I’m hosting an open house, but once in a while I’m home early enough to enjoy my own home.
And the mums! Such gorgeous colors! I’m trying hard to keep mine hydrated for the velvety look.
We’ve had some gorgeous weather this year. Hope you’re enjoying it and as always, if you or someone you know is looking to move, call me for service you can trust.
