This holiday season has been particularly lovely by having both my daughters home (from NYC and SF) for an extended period of time. It’s so nice not to have to cram a visit into a weekend. Although we are working, we’ve been able to cultivate a relaxed lifestyle.
We all love to experiment with cooking and baking and we’ve made some delicious dishes and cookies. A lemon pistachio cookie was one of our favorites. In order to work off the extra calories, we work out to on-line classes and go for long walks with our dogs.
My daughter Haley brought her dog, Charlie, from SF. He is such a loving personality! He has the best temperament. He loves to snuggle and knows that our dog, Tara, does not want to engage in playing. (She’s a little aloof).
We continue to work on home projects, always clearing things out. Facebook marketplace is a great way to sell or give away items no longer needed. We are in the process of transforming our basement into an exercise studio. Look for before and after pics on FB. While I always dream of living closer to the ocean, I really enjoy having the basement for exercise equipment, extra bedrooms for our daughters, and an office for Mark. It will be interesting to see what the next five years bring in terms of where to live for all of us. In the meantime, I hope to be able to safely travel in 2021 to spend time with family and friends and also visit beach towns that I’ve yet to see (Martha’s Vineyard, Marblehead).
Best wishes to you for a joyful holiday season, being able to visit with family and friends, and most of all, a healthy New Year. May all your dreams come true living a lifestyle that brings you peace, love, and joy.
